Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 6: Live Updates

Voter Turnout

As of 11am in Phase 6 of the Lok Sabha elections, voter turnout is at 25.76%. Odisha has the lowest turnout with 21.3%, closely followed by Delhi at 21.69%. On the other hand, West Bengal has the highest turnout so far at 36.88%.

Voting Details

Today, voting is taking place in 58 constituencies across six states and two union territories. This phase includes all 7 seats in Delhi, 14 constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, all 10 seats in Haryana, 8 seats each in Bihar and West Bengal, 6 in Odisha, 4 seats in Jharkhand, and 1 seat in Jammu and Kashmir.

Deferred Voting

Voting for the Anantnag seat in Jammu and Kashmir was initially scheduled for May 7 but was postponed due to adverse weather conditions.

According to the Election Commission of India, 889 candidates from eight states and union territories are contesting in 58 constituencies. Voting began at 7am and will conclude at 6pm.

The final phase of polling for 42 assembly constituencies in Odisha is also taking place today, concluding the state's assembly elections.

Overall Election Phases

The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are being held in seven phases, starting from April 19. The phases are scheduled for April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, today’s phase, and will conclude on June 1. Vote counting will take place on June 4.
