The 75-day-long Lok Sabha election campaign concluded today, Thursday. The major rallies, election meetings, and roadshows have come to an end. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi, JP Nadda, Yogi Adityanath, and Priyanka Gandhi held rallies, while Mamata Banerjee conducted an 8-kilometer-long march in Kolkata. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held his last rally in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. From there, PM Modi headed to Kanyakumari, where he will engage in meditation for 45 hours. He is scheduled to leave Kanyakumari at 3 PM on June 1. Voting for his constituency, Varanasi, along with 57 seats in 8 states and Chandigarh, will take place on June 1. The opposition is criticizing his meditation, claiming it violates the Model Code of Conduct.
During the extensive seven-phase election schedule, prominent leaders from all parties campaigned vigorously. During this period, PM Modi conducted 172 rallies and roadshows. Amit Shah held 115 rallies and 18 roadshows. JP Nadda conducted 87 rallies. On the opposition front, Rahul Gandhi held 107 rallies and roadshows. Akhilesh Yadav conducted 69 rallies and 4 roadshows, while Mamata Banerjee conducted 61 rallies along with several roadshows and marches.
Amit Shah participated in a total of 221 rallies, roadshows, and election events in this Lok Sabha election. BJP President JP Nadda toured 23 states and 4 union territories from April 2, 2024, to May 30, 2024. He campaigned for 125 Lok Sabha seats and conducted 134 election meetings and roadshows. Nadda traveled a total of 85,957 kilometers during the campaign. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh conducted 101 election events, including 94 rallies and seven roadshows.
